Cesano II started his career as a sport and breeding stallion in Rhineland-Palatinate where he stood at Zweibrücken state stud for three seasons. At 6 year old he returned to Holstein where Rolf-Göran Bengtsson got the ride on him and won 10 young jumper classes in superior style. In the Bundeschampionat final they took third place following a risky ride in the jump-off. Later the combination won S level classes, as well. His sire Caretino is considered an international top sire due to his exceptional offspring and was a successful international sport horse himself, succeeding at international Grand Prix and Nations Cup level under then Holsteiner Verband rider Bo Kristoffersen. Taura (by Lord), dam to Cesano I and II, is one of the most successful representatives of stem 890. She has produced the stallions Cesano I and II, and Ringo Starr, as well as the highly successful international jumpers Crocodile Dandy (Alison Firestone) and Conally (Markus Renzel). His 2nd dam Maltia produced Kira XVII (by Lavall I), the dam of international high-achiever Casall Ask. Cesano’s dam line 890 has produced a great number of outstanding jumpers. At present, the most well-known are the stallion Eurocommerce Berlin with Gerco Schröder, Corinessa (Cora Ackermann-Ripke), Frimella and Feodora with Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst, Caitano with Ulrich Kirchhoff and Casall Ask under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Cesano II has sired many talented jumpers during his Zweibrücken stint. His 2005 born son Cosmo has won to S* level under Tina Deurer and has achieved first international results. Another Cesano II son, Calle Cool, performed convincingly at the 2012 Bundeschampionat with outstanding rounds under the saddle of Michael Jung. The pair also won the small 6-year-old jumper final scoring 8.9. Another interesting Cesano II son is Cerano, who already boasts several international results to S level under Alessa Hennings.
